About Fine Wind, Clear Morning
Under the right conditions, Mount Fuji turns a vivid red under the rising sun. In Fine Wind, Clear Morning, also known as Red Fuji, Hokusai masterfully renders the colors of the scene. He emphasizes the vibrancy of the mountain against a sky riddled with clouds. Along with Tenma Bridge in Setsu Province, it has come to be seen as a symbol of traditional Japanese art.
